Two Months to Implement, Green on SATUSEHAT Straight Away

A hospital that had only just implemented SIMRS MediCare reached green readiness status and met the Ministry of Health's SATUSEHAT standard in its early phase, scoring above every comparable hospital in its region.

The real problem is not how fast the system goes in
A hospital that has just changed systems almost always sees its SATUSEHAT score fall in the first months. The cause is not the system but the gap: master data is still incomplete, staff are still learning the new flow, and recording completeness drops precisely as submission volume rises. That gap normally takes months to close.
The target for this implementation was therefore not simply going live on time, but going live without a compliance gap.
Three stages in two months
- Initial go-live. The system runs and care operations begin. Scope was held to the flows genuinely used day to day, so staff were not learning modules they did not yet need.
- EMR integration. Electronic medical records were connected so that the clinical data flow formed first — before submission to SATUSEHAT was switched on, not after.
- Accelerated SATUSEHAT onboarding. Preparation and submission were accelerated on top of clinical data that was already in order, so the first submissions were complete and did not have to be sent again.
The result
On the dashboard snapshot monitored, RS Umum Alia Hospital recorded 86.81% — above every comparable hospital on its regional list, which ranged from 73.61% to 75.56%, including hospitals that had been running far longer. Its onboarding readiness status is green and meets the Ministry of Health's SATUSEHAT standard.
The same pattern occurred with a customer in Jakarta, also two months into implementing MediCare, which by that period had already entered the acceleration phase for integration and onboarding readiness.
What other hospitals can take from this
The order of the work decides the outcome. Switching on SATUSEHAT submission before the clinical data flow is in order produces figures that have to be corrected again and again; putting the clinical data in order first means the very first submission is close to complete. The difference is not a few percentage points but a few months.
